It looks like everyone who said, and everything I read, about it taking 9 months for an Achilles tendon injury to heal, irrespective of how you treat it, was spot on.
I first noticed it at the start of July last year. It’s almost completely pain-free now. About 9 months later.
Weird.

CalorieCounter app tells me the food I ate today has a total of 16g of saturated fat.
That’ll do. I want to keep it around that number most days of the week. Until I get my cholesterol and triglycerides measured again in May.
Off to get chastised by my GP about my diet and cholesterol levels.
Back on the healthy diet wagon again. Reducing saturated fat intake.
Don’t @ me, I know what healthy foods I like.
At least my blood sugar levels weren’t a concern. So I won’t have to give up Classic Coca-Cola or Thather’s Zero Cider.
The blood tests I had last week say my cholesterol is high. Sugar and other things must be okay. I have to go to the doctor next Tuesday to discuss the next steps.
Less junk food might be a start, Ian 🤦🏻♂️
It’s been a year since I had an SVT incident. The last one was on 8th February 2025 at 04:30 in the morning.
A few times since then, I’ve felt like one was going to start, but if I hold my breath and try to exhale, it increases the pressure in my chest and stops it progressing. Sort of like a preemptive MVM. The MVM is linked from the quoted post below.
Tried drinking Coca-Cola Zero Sugar this morning rather than my usual Coca-Cola Classic.
Nope. If I have to reduce my sugar intake, I’ll give up Coca-Cola completely. Still waiting on blood sugar level results.
I’m beginning to think my recent blurry vision may be due to dry eyes. If so, I’ll start using Optrex Actimist Dry Eyes spray liberally.
