Students across Europe continue to unite against their universities' continuing support of the genocide being committed in Palestine. On March 27th, there will once again be a coordinated effort to finally kick the genocidal entity out of EU Horizon. EU Horizon funds many projects across the EU, including many which directly and indirectly aid in the genocide of the Palestinian people.

TU Delft being the largest technical university in the country, means that it is one of the largest contributors to the weapons and surveillance research which "israel" uses to kill and oppress Palestinians. Join us on TU Delft campus to show them that their students and the people of the Netherlands will no longer tolerate Dutch complicity.

#BDS is broader than just a #boycott. The other parts, #divestment and #sanctions, are also crucial.

The power of the #StudentIntifada #encampments of spring 2024 was in how they made #universities divest from #Israel. They were not merely symbolic.

Today, #LeidenUniversity holds an annual lecture to commemorate Dr. Rudolph Cleveringa, who gave a famous lecture in honor of his Jewish colleague and in protest of the Nazi occupation on November 26, 1940.

Yet, while claiming to celebrate the scholar who stood against the Nazi occupation and #genocide, Leiden University remains complicit in perpetuating ‘israel’s’ occupation and genocide - including #scholasticide - in Palestine.

Leiden University’s silence is a grave betrayal of Cleveringa’s lessons. By staying complicit genocide, occupation, and the violent denial of a people’s right to self determination, LU is exploiting and defiling Cleveringa’s legacy.

We protest today to call out Leiden University’s hypocrisy and complicity. No research project can justify working with institutions complicit in occupation and genocide.

Coming Monday the 26th of May, HKU4Palestine will organise a sit-in in the Atrium of Oudenoord.

We do this to urge the CVB (College Van Bestuur) to finally meet our demands, listed below.

Despite our numerous attempts to convince the CVB of the importance of these demands, after more than a year, the CVB has been incapable of meeting these demands and breaking ties with Israel.

Therefore, we will inform the CVB that our demands have not changed.

Please join our sit-in, attend our workshops and join forces. HKU students and staff, let’s finally mobilize!

Our demands:

•⁠ ⁠The HKU must write a statement that clearly rejects the genocide, disproportionate violence, and impending ethnic cleansing committed by Israel

•⁠ ⁠The HKU must sever ties with Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design

•⁠ ⁠The HKU must investigate any connections with Israeli institutions, companies and investors, making these public, and severing these ties

Utrecht - In het universiteitsgebouw aan de Drift 13 in Utrecht worden vandaag weer colleges gegeven. Het pand bleef gisteren gesloten na een bezetting door pro-Palestijnse betogers maandagavond. Die actie werd beëindigd door de politie, maar volgens de demonstranten betekent dat niet dat ze stoppen met hun protest. "We blijven keihard actievoeren."

Hoe die acties eruit gaan zien en of de universiteit bijvoorbeeld opnieuw bezetters kan verwachten, is onduidelijk. De demonstranten willen nog geen details geven over de invulling van hun protest. "Waar en hoe kan ik niet zeggen, maar we gaan door", vertelt Itai, die namens de groep spreekt. …"
