A Reed Warbler at RSPB Strumpshaw Fen, we were walking along the river path and heard some chicks in a nest intermittently. The parents were in and out of the tree with plenty of insects.

A few weeks ago we were at RSPB Strumpshaw Fen. It was a later start for us, we got to the reception hide just before 10am.

Coming out of the door I chose to take a quick look across the water and I’m so glad I did.

I saw this brown blob half way up the reeds.

Something spooked the Heron and the Kingfisher together, they both flew off across the water.
