@miguelpergamon @Gigi I help coordinate #Streetknit

We are thrilled to supply our legal observers with hats, they do such amazing work, they should be able to keep their ears warm and be easy to find while doing it.

We also make warm items for unhoused people and refugee kids. Also knitted or crocheted toys for the kids and the occasional bag. Everyone needs bags, unhoused people especially.

We meet on the evening of the second Tuesday of the month in Toronto, anyone who is interested in attending is welcome to DM me. We can also accept donations via Knit-o-matic or Romni [finished items or yarn or tools]

@adub @Gigi Nearly all of the #OrangeHats toques are hand-knit. There are several of us who do it. Our stalker has to make do with mass-produced beanies, no one likes her enough to knit for her and she doesn't appear to have any practical skills. #Streetknit

@Gigi I think some of the members of my union branch would be interested in encampment support training, as would I.

Thanks for helping distribute the bounteous haul from our fellow Streetknitters. I took the rest of the adult clothing to Moss Park OPS this afternoon, another comrade will be collecting the toys and kid-sized items later this week, they'll go to refugee kids. She was doing a food serve last night or she would have been at Streetknit

I am always amused by how much my knitting annoys fascists. I just bring it to actions because there's often a lot of waiting around and fascists are really, really, boring.

#Streetknit #tricoteuse [what is the gender neutral term, anyway?]

@Gigi It was lovely to get to hang out with you at #Streetknit and as usual it was free of boorish fascists. I expect they're afraid of us, which is I find hilarious but also useful.
