Edward ChampionTerry Moore's STRANGERS IN PARADISE could be the most melodramatic comic of all time. The twists upon twists are so utterly insane that one can't help but laugh over how ridiculous the story is. I mean, just look at this panel. And this isn't even the CRAZIEST part of the story! Terry Moore is utterly crazy in the best possible way. He was determined to write the most insane epic imaginable! Just incredibly fun. Exactly what I needed. I'm in for the full run.

JarulfI discovered #comics properly in the 80's when we saw a lot of stuff for an older audience being translated into Swedish and published by a few anthology magazines like #Epix. Since then it's been an on and off affair, largely depending on whether I had any money to spend on it.
So after (re) discovering #StrangersInParadise the other day, I realised how much I've missed comics over the last ten or twenty years.

I've had four of the old paperbacks, vol 2-5 of Strangers in Paradise for years, but lacking the first one I never read them. So when I saw that Humble Bundle had everything by Terry Moore, I couldn't resist, even if I'd promised myself I should by anything more in January.
I'm halfway through the second volume now and really enjoying it.

espinafrandoTerminei de ler todo o Strangers in Paradise do @TerryMoore. Que quadrinho maravilhoso! Arte espetacular, personagens construídos com tanto esmero que parecem vivos, trama com mais reviravolta que filme bom do Shyamalan.
Queria que fosse mais acessível e mais conhecido aqui no Brasil, mas publicação errática com divulgação mínima de Estranhos no Paraíso não ajudam.
Enfim, recomendadíssimo, principalmente pra quem tem preconceito com história em quadrinhos.
