Concerning Ravenloft - the original horror adventure module
It's called "The Cursive Strahd"!
I think I figured out a way to bypass the unflattering depiction of a particular marginalized peoples in the original #Ravenloft #ADnD module.
I'm moving Barovia to an island. Instead of the Vistani, #Strahd will be using pirates and marauders to ferry people to the island and to bring in goods. The rest of the map will be the same, it's just a big island surrounded by impenetrable fog.
Between listening to #3BlackHalflings and reading #LightFantasyRPG by @Gurbintroll, I'm trying to make my games more inclusive and open. I don't think I'll loose much of the flavor.
Also, after watching #SethSkorkowski review the module, I'm making the fog move people around the island and they'll exit to a somewhat randomized point on the map if they try to enter it. The fog will be navigable by using a special lantern and a special candle, possessed by the sailors.
