Here are a few thoughts on Mrs Palfrey at the Claremont, 1971, by Elizabeth Taylor, a book I loved! Itโ€™s an unflinching and poignant portrayal of ageing, blending the harsh realities with darkly comedic observations and hopeful moments #bookstodon #BookReview #audiobook #reading #Storygraph @bookstodon

#Books:

According to #StoryGraph, I mainly read #fiction books that are adventurous, dark, and mysterious. I especially love #fantasy and #scifi, but I also enjoy mysteries, thrillers, and romance.

Some of my favorite authors are Anne McCaffrey, Terry Pratchett, Stephen King, Brandon Sanderson, Robert R. McCammon, David Sedaris, and Diana Gabaldon.

Series and titles I love include The Talisman, Mistborn, Discworld, Outlander, Dragonriders of Pern, Wheel of Time, Murderbot Diaries, Earthseed, and Memoirs of a Geisha. Currently enjoying the Dungeon Crawler Carl and Spellmonger series.

March #storygraph wrap-up. #bookstodon

Rolled the d20 again and got Alone with you in the ether by Olivie Blake. Quite excited about this one.

I broke my #reading streak in March on a day that had board games from breakfast until after midnight. All good! I tend to find long streaks scary rather than motivating.

Iโ€™m being annoyed that I forgot about my e-library loan of The Astral Library and now I canโ€™t get it back until August so Iโ€™ll be trying to find a print copy to read as I was enjoying it.

I finished 9 books in March 2026. Still enjoying and making progress on the #Spellmonger and #DungeonCrawlerCarl series. Both have a lot of books, and they're on the longer side. My roomie is also listening to the Spellmonger books and had spoiled a few minor things for me when they were ahead. I have now passed them by roughly two books, to my estimation. ๐ŸŽ‰

My #nonfiction book this month was James Nestor's Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art, which I listened to sped up. It was fascinating and kind of blew my mind a little bit. I highly recommend it, especially for anyone suffering from sleep apnea and/or crooked teeth. (CW: medical procedures, animal testing, and a passing mention of cannibalism.)

I read more in March than I thought I had, but of course 2 were graphic novels. I remember.

However the sheer amount Iโ€™ve read on AO3 that month is bonkers, so Iโ€™m not feeling too bad ๐Ÿ˜‚
