OK, calling it done for now!
Stormdrake Guard based up and looking smart.
Just small bits and bobs of hobby progress tonight.
Started basing the Stormdrake, did some panel lining on a Howling Griffons Infiltrator and quickly brush-primed some Rum and Bones minis and a couple of Print Minis House Caraval Necromunda proxy models that had been lying on the painting desk for months.
Made some more progress on the Stormdrake tonight, including trying a new three-colour gradient on the dragon’s ridge plates that I saw elsewhere and really liked. I’ll sleep on this little test area though. I might want to tone it down as the orange is a whole new colour I hadn’t planned for.
Making some decent progress on this Stormdrake Guard. I wish I had a coherent plan but I’ve been making it up as I go along and then adjusting as needed to pull it back in line.
At the moment I’m most pleased with the accent colour on the pauldron and tilting shield, so think I’ll extend that to the actual shield too. I’m ending up mimicking some of the dragon colours in the rider, with the blue-green on armour and beginnings of a purple cape.
Painting has fallen off a cliff the last week or so, so tonight I forced myself to quickly put *some* paint on *something*.
Wash of Soulblight Grey on this Allarus Custodian and added a base of Vallejo Tinny Tin to the armour on this Stormdrake that’s been paused for months.
