Some of weekend painting has involved stripping a Tyranid combat patrol (I convinced my son it would be worth it... though I ended up doing all the work!), painting a Tyranid Prime (going for a Hive Hydra look but not sure I managed it), finishing the Lord Veritant on Gryph Stalker and starting a Reclusian.

I am resolute that I AM going to actually start playing this Summer!

Finished these Stormcast. At the front is Karnus the Seeker which came with the Spearhead magazine.

I used a pva and sand mix for the bases - which was more messy than Citadel technical paints but worked fairly well. I'll try something coarser next like grit.

Finally got round to spraying some Stormcast Liberators gold. It's the first time I've tried this. So far I've basecoated Stormcast with Wraithbone or something similar but I'm seeing what it looks like - and, obviously, whether it speeds up the painting - by spraying them Retributor Armour first. I've not done any painting for a few weeks and the guilt (or is it regret?) has been slowly building. Must. Try. Harder.

I allowed myself to subscribe to the new Age of Sigmar partworks magazine, but only if I kept up with the painting. Before the next delivery, the previous one must be painted. Due to how I subbed, I got six magazines at once, so I have 13 miniatures to paint before the end of May in addition to my normal painting plans. Quick and a little dirty, but that's the first 8 done.

Testing some tweaks to my older Stormcast paint scheme. Definitely wanting to keep the Green and Leadbelcher for primary colors, but wasn't sure how to best handle the skirt and shield. The pivot from copper to "Death Metal" seems to be working so far!

Turns out bringing shiny armor to a paintball battle was a tactical mistake. My Stormcast Eternals now look less like celestial warriors and more like they lost an argument with a rainbow.

Still, Sigmar approves. Probably.
