Oh boy! #Seattle's #Police are asking the city council to give them millions of dollars to install hundreds of snitch cameras around #LGBTQ and #BIPoC communities. These don't deter crime, but they sure do deter people from feeling safe in their own neighborhoods.
If you can, please flood the city council's contact channels and tell them we don't want an authoritarian surveillance stateβ*especially* when the SPD has such a long history of misconduct, *and* the current administration will use it to terrorize minorities.

If this passes, might I recommend investing in proper protest attire and submitting a comment in red spray paint directly to any cameras you find.
