Much like the cryptids of antiquity, it inspires fear in our community, and obscures itself from the sight of all who attempt to quantify it's nature. There are no "versions" of the truth. Will Tuladhar-DouglasI don't know how many folk on here are aware of the horrific research being challenged by the #StopSpectrum10K movement. It is thinly veiled eugenics research aimed at creating a test that would allow for the abortion of pregnancies where the child would be autistic. As an autistic person, the parent of an autistic person, and indeed someone with many autistic kin (let alone colleagues and friends), this is pretty scary stuff, imagining the intentional erasure of my family. It's been a really ugly few weeks. Anyway, I think there are quite a few autistic folk on the fedi and many who might see themselves as allies.
