Pfingstsamstag, schönstes Wetter. Aber statt gemütlich auf dem Balkon zu sitzen verbarrikadiere ich mich in der Wohnung mit geschlossenen Fenstern und drehe die Musik lauter weil seit heute morgen um 8 Acht Uhr der Nachbar seinen Traktor mit erhöhten Leerlauf dieseln lässt um einen Holzspalter anzutreiben und kubikmeterweise Brennholz zu machen mit dem er dann bei kühlen Temperaturen die Nachbarschaft räuchert. 🤬

I work from home (so don't commute), haven't daily driven a guzzolene car in 6+ years, and primarily get around by bicycle between April and November. I still feel empathy for people who feel trapped into paying $75 for a tank of gas for their Camry, though. I feel more empathy for people who are trapped by a $300+ /mo WE Energies bill. We really need to get out of using fossil fuels in this state.

@davidho every new combustion vehicle, furnace, cook stove, water heater etc. will likely burn for another 20 years

Just small decisions individuals can make, most aren’t building a LNG terminal in their backyard but in the absence of a functioning government perhaps it’s the best we can do.
