प्लम की खेती: शिमला में ब्लैक अंबर प्लम ने सेब को पछाड़ा, रिकॉर्ड दामों पर बिक्री

Himachal News: शिमला जिले में प्लम की खेती ने बागवानों के लिए नई उम्मीदें जगाई हैं। भट्ठाकुफर फल मंडी में ब्लैक अंबर प्लम की कीमत ने सेब को पीछे छोड़ दिया है। इस सीजन में प्लम 120-130 रुपये प्रति किलो बिक रहा है, जो पिछले साल से 20-30 रुपये अधिक है। वहीं, अर्ली वेरायटी सेब के दाम 80-110 रुपये प्रति किलो हैं। अन्य स्टोन फ्रूट्स जैसे आडू और बादाम भी 100 रुपये प्रति किलो तक बिक रहे हैं।

स्टोन फ्रूट की बढ़ती मांग

मुंबई, सूरत, अहमदाबाद और पुणे जैसे शहरों में प्लम की खेती से उपजे फलों की मांग तेजी से बढ़ रही है। भट्ठाकुफर मंडी, जो पहले सेब के कारोबार के लिए प्रसिद्ध थी, अब स्टोन फ्रूट्स के लिए भी चर्चा में है। आढ़ती प्रवीण ठाकुर के अनुसार, बेहतर परिवहन सुविधाओं ने स्टोन फ्रूट्स की पहुंच बढ़ाई है। चेरी को अब हवाई मार्ग से भी भेजा जा रहा है, जिससे बागवानों को फायदा हो रहा है।

सेब की खेती में चुनौतियां

सेब की खेती के लिए 800-1,200 घंटे चिलिंग की जरूरत होती है, लेकिन कम बर्फबारी और गर्म सर्दियों ने इसे मुश्किल बना दिया है। कोटखाई के बागवान दीपक ढांटा बताते हैं कि सेब के पौधे सूख रहे हैं, जिससे किसान प्लम की खेती की ओर रुख कर रहे हैं। प्लम, बादाम और खुबानी जैसे फलों को केवल 300-500 चिलिंग घंटे चाहिए, जिससे इनकी खेती आसान है।

कम लागत, ज्यादा मुनाफा

आढ़ती सन्नी ठाकुर के मुताबिक, स्टोन फ्रूट्स की खेती में लागत कम और मेहनत भी कम लगती है। स्टोन फ्रूट ग्रोअर्स एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष दीपक सिंघा का कहना है कि पिछले पांच सालों में किए गए प्रयास अब रंग ला रहे हैं। निचले क्षेत्रों में सेब की पैदावार कम होती है, लेकिन स्टोन फ्रूट्स की फसल बेहतर हो रही है। अधिक जानकारी के लिए हिमाचल प्रदेश कृषि विभाग की वेबसाइट देखें।

भट्ठाकुफर मंडी का बदलता स्वरूप

भट्ठाकुफर मंडी में स्टोन फ्रूट्स की हिस्सेदारी अब सेब के बराबर पहुंच रही है। आढ़ती गिरीश चौहान बताते हैं कि मौसम में बदलाव के कारण सेब की खेती टिकाऊ नहीं रही। इसके विपरीत, प्लम की खेती और अन्य स्टोन फ्रूट्स बागवानों के लिए लाभकारी साबित हो रहे हैं।
