"Just three days before the National Day of Mourning for the victims of last month’s #antisemitic #terrorist attack at #BondiBeach, a group of #Jewish teenage boys were targeted with an antisemitic attack by the occupants of a white ute.

The incident took place on the corner of Glen Eira Road and Hotham Street in #StKildaEast about 9.50pm on Monday night. The occupants of the ute reportedly screamed “Heil #Hitler” at the boys, gave #Nazi salutes and threatened to stab the boys. The ute followed the boys and narrowly missed hitting one of the boys after the vehicle did a U-turn too closely to follow them. The vehicle drove at them, forcing them to run and hide for safety.

The incident took place very near the #AdassIsrael #Synagogue that was destroyed in an #Iranian-sponsored #firebombing in late 2024."

"A 47-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the #firebombing of a #rabbi’s vehicle in #Melbourne’s #StKildaEast, after the car, marked with a “Happy #Chanukah” sign, was torched in a driveway in the early hours of #Christmas morning. No one was in the vehicle, but a woman and three children inside the home were evacuated as a precaution.

Investigators say the vehicle had a roof-mounted mobile billboard celebrating #Hanukkah, and police initially described the incident as a targeted #arson attack while stressing there was no indication, at that stage—of a broader threat to the wider #Jewish community."

Stumbled on this intriguing mural in #StkildaEast #Australia. It has a touch of graffiti at the base however the main feature… her face is untouched.

Perhaps its depicting that you and I are perceived by others, as pieces and parts of what they themselves, only associate with and know.

Or it could be that we ourselves over time, become our own person, and we incorporate aspects of outside influence and styles from what we observe in daily life.

Alternatively it could be a well thought out display of thought-provoking art designed to simply get us thinking!!

A classic orange Campsis grandiflora, aka the #Chinesetrumpetvine spotted in the back of a suburban alley way in #StkildaEast yesterday. #Australia.

It is a fast-growing creeper with large, orange, trumpet-shaped flowers. It can grow to a height of 10 meters apparently. A native of East Asia.

I think these flowers appear and die off relatively quick. Many were on their way out however there were new buds forming, ready to burst open!

Corymbia ficifolia is commonly known as the #redfloweringgum.

It is a species of small tree that is endemic to the south-west of Western Australia.

This one was teeming with #bees and shining brightly in the evening sun during a catch-up coffee with a good friend in #StkildaEast #Australia.

We all scoffed lamingtons, which are a delight to eat on this #AustraliaDay.
