The Stitching Stands clamps are in full production mode! After 2 full days running power-hungry equipment at weekend rates, I have 31 wooden clamp jaws ready for their 3D printed parts.
Meanwhile the Prusa CORE One has been running almost 24/7 making actuators, knobs, and threaded inserts. By later this week I will have enough parts to upgrade all extant clamps.

My first "real" #FreeCAD project is a screw adjuster and knob, both for a #StitchingStand I designed for my wife's #NeedleCrafts friends. The adjuster is in two mating parts with a hidden thread in the handle and a shaft in the threaded part. A tension bolt will hold them in compression and adjust jaw clamps to hold a stitching frame.
It was a fun and not too steep learning curve. FreeCAD is the first CAD software that "speaks to me".
Now that I have a good inventory of items for https://stitchingstands.com/ I stopped procrastinating on Fiddle #9. The last few days I carved the neck and scroll, and this morning I created the peg box.
By the time this instrument is done, it's likely to have been a 3+ year project. It's almost certainly my last fiddle. I figure if 9 is good enough for Ludwig, it is for me as well.
https://stitchingstands.com/ now has three types of stands! In addition to the single sided table or lap stand, and the two-sided table or lap stand, I have added a floor stand with two clamps. It can also be used as a table stand, since the vertical range is 50 cm to 110 cm. The width range is 25 to 125 cm. Labelled parts make assembly/disassembly easy.
