This party dress has been much loved by several little girls in our family, resulting in the loss of one of the sash ties. Braided some ribbon in a similar shade and stitched it into the seam to make a new loop for the other long sash. Ready for a wash then a trip to the SPCA shop ready to brighten the day of another child.

Just made my first ever piece of clothing!

Made #hakama from very lightweight denim, for my best friend.

I changed the design, adding a pocket on one side and a button closure on the other, along with a full waistband to replace the traditional ties and open side vents.

I've never made anything 'proper' before, never used a pattern, so I'm happy how these turned out.

110,000 stitches later and my wife's completed her latest cross stitch. As you can see, it's the King of Diamonds, and next to start - after a small break as this one's taken a while - will be the King of Hearts.
