@fionaorkneynews An interesting article, as is the linked Commonweal piece.
Looking at the #StirlingCouncil consultation on the future of libraries, they depict a pie chart of services. It has chunks for "educating our children and young people", "caring for our
children and young people", "caring for adults", "resident and community support services ".
Libraries could sit across these but are instead part of "Economy, tourism, climate and environment", vague and so susceptible to cuts.

It was so wonderful to award Stirling Inclusion Support Service the #DigitalSchoolsAwards. Such phenomenal work in helping young people make positive changes & using technology to build confidence, open conversations & support behavioural needs.

"demolished in a failed conservation effort"
Aye right
"Planning permission and listed building consent will also be required"
And there's the stable door creaking shut

Historic Stirling clocktower to be rebuilt after council demolition

Stirling council says it will rebuild the Christie Clock after a failed conservation effort.

BBC News
@Val_Bold Unfortunately, other views are not so wonderful these days: the never-ending slow roadworks scarring the town centre, and #StirlingCouncil 's outrageous late-night destruction of a listed building, the clocktower at Allanpark a few weeks ago.
