Classic Buskers in concert
This concert, back in the day, was one of the best visual feasts from the perspective of a photographer.
It's a 7 minute slideshow video on our Makertube channel with some great music from two accomplished musicians, helping to break down some of the barriers raised by preconceptions of classical music with a zany sense of humour that I hope will make you smile.

"The raucous humour that they bring to their performance and share with their audience is only possible from two experienced and respected classical professionals, completely at ease with their respective instruments – these range from accordion, flute, recorders through rubber chicken, kazoo etc..
The origins of this duo date back to the 70’s in Cambridge, England, where two students started busking to make some money to earn some cash. Ever since then they have been delighting audiences world-wide and shattering the prejudices of those who had considered this to be a stuffy genre.
Playing over the slideshow are their renditions of Offenbach's “Orpheus in the Underworld” and "The Ruins of Athens, Op. 113: No.4” by Beethoven (used by kind permission) from their CD entitled “Mini Classics” in a glimpse of the joys of attending one of their concerts."

Hello friends!

This is an introduction to all who might be interested to see Ellie's and my new PeerTube account we have just created. This is the first video we are sharing on our "Performances" channel and features a story by Canadian storytelling icon, the late Stuart McLean. I took the photographs during a performance in Halifax and the story is narrated by Stuart. More information about the performance and other performers featured are in the description.
The channel will otherwise be mostly musical performances with tracks and permission supplied by the artists and my photography.

My beautiful bride, 44 years ago today.
This little guy is still hanging around us and we see him from time to time. I think he's been taking shelter also in the hollow at the base of a very big old maple tree, which is in its last months or years. He doesn't seem to be particularly bothered by us, though he doesn't get too close.
He was so relaxed that I managed to get my camera and telephoto lens out to take his portrait in our autumn field.
