Criminal charges related to conservative activist Steven Hotze’s alleged involvement in the assault of an air conditioning repairman in 2020 have been dropped, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.

Harris County DA’s office drops charges against GOP activist Steven Hotze

The charges against Hotze and former police officer Mark Aguirre stem from an alleged assault on an air conditioning repairman on Oct. 19, 2020. Aguirre claimed there were fraudulent election ballots inside the repairman's truck, but none were found.
