Steve Hanley & Olivia Piekarski - The Big Midweek: Life Inside the Fall

Autobiography in engaging, undramatic style. SH was recruited on bass as a keen youngster, and stayed in the Fall for 19 years, with many other musicians coming and going under the volatile leadership of Mark E Smith. We follow along as SH learns the songs, co-writes new ones, tours, records, becomes invaluable. The band isn't always a happy crew, but I can say there was at least one place where I was laughing out loud :-) Plus bits about other bands and his family.
