Anybody remember the show Wiseguy, from the late 80s? It always cracks me up that they worked so hard to convince us that Vancouver was Atlantic City in the first arc and then they were like, "Screw it, we're just gonna set the next arc right here."

#Hunter s5e11 (1989) - 9/10

1️⃣ Smart teleplay by #JoeMenosky, for #StephenJCannell Productions, has multiple storylines in the spotlight.

2️⃣ #CecVerrell is simply excellent as an escaped psycho killer. Meanwhile, #JamesBSikking leads an aggressive vigilante group. Finally, #RobertVaughn sends #StepfanieKramer undercover in a crime-ridden high school.

3️⃣ The tone is grim/realistic. Action/violence is often kept offscreen. A picture is painted of an entire city under siege from different factions.

#Riptide s2e13 (1985) - 8/10

1️⃣ Good script by #BillNuss, for #StephenJCannell Productions, gives guest stars #JohnAstin and #AnnTurkel two strong/interesting characters to play: an eccentric billionaire and his devoted helicopter pilot.

2️⃣ Lots of helicopter action in this one.

3️⃣ The always-reliable #JamesSloyan is the villain.

📺 January 1985. NBC aired #Riptide on Tuesdays in the second hour of prime time, after #TheATeam and before #RemingtonSteele.

#TheATeam s2e6 (1983) - 8/10
Delightful.

1️⃣ Laugh-out-loud script funny by #StephenJCannell, contains most (all?) of the show’s most recognizable/iconic tropes.

2️⃣ #MichaelIronside makes an excellent villain. Exactly the type of pond scum you want to see taken down by the Team.

3️⃣ Plenty of impressive action in this one: car stunts, explosions, etc.

4️⃣ First appearance of Face’s Corvette.❤️

5️⃣ Terrific guest cast: #ErnieHudson, #BrionJames, #DonaldGibb.
