One of the many exceptional women in IT I've never heard of, and I'm probably not alone in this.

A fascinating story of not giving up and persisting in a very male dominated space.

Stephanie Shirley, born in Germany and sent to Great Britain as part of a Kindertransport, passed away some days ago, at the age of 91. She was a renowed IT entrepreneur and first President of the British Computer Society.
