Ho messo letteralmente le mani sullo #SteamController, per la prima volta.
Unica perplessità è che #SteamDeck non lo vede tra i dispositivi Bluetooth, a meno che non si attacchi la chiavetta, ma poco male. Credo sia dovuto a una questione di aggiornamento firmware che al momento non farò.
Per il resto non capisco come mai abbia avuto così poca fortuna, mi sembra all'avanguardia per l'epoca del rilascio.
Si possono impostare i suoni del buzzer interno per l'accensione e lo spegnimento 🤩

I’ve also been playing this and Quake 4 with that thing https://mastodon.online/@alsorew/114422055325109665 Hellgate is perfect for it since you barely need to aim.

I like it for what it is, which is on the tin, to the point that I don’t know what to add.

Couple of tricks:
– You can assign the gyro to the touchpad touch, which was the default behavior of the #SteamController.
– The whole device is so light that it makes sense to use it one-handed, maybe with a gyro or an actual mouse.

woooo, it is done! really glad I went with the textured vinyl; it makes the touchpads feel nice, although it does make it hard to see the little spots on the rest of the texture, ah well.

update: re-did the image in higher resolution and also slapped a background texture on it, its recycled from an unfinished minecraft project in like 2019, with a few tweaks made based on the martian origami project recently. it feels really good to realize that I have art assets I can repurpose. like "hell yeah I made that"
