Anthoooo 💪✌️ #Start11
I never liked the changes Microsoft made to the Start menu with #Windows 10 and 11. Now they want to add advertising, which, for now, you can disable, but still...
I've been using Start11 for years on my Windows machines to replace the start menu and task bar that comes with Windows. It's quite inexpensive, and it gives me a start menu and task bar as I like it. There are a ton of customizations.
If you don't like the Windows start menu and task bar, this is worth a look:
If you're using #Windows 11 (which is OK, it's quite nice, mostly), you should absolutely 100% be also using #Start11 instead of the default.

Some true #WindowsTips for you, especially if you don't want ads on your desktop:
1) Use Start11 as a start menu replacement. You can have any style of Windows menu from Windows 7 to 11 and setup each one however you like. Want to go straight to a list of apps? Done. Want organised pages and groups of shortcuts? Easy. Plus it can even improve the taskbar, like allowing you to show labels or unbundle apps. Plus it's super cheap! https://www.stardock.com/corporatesolutions/start11/
2) Files App to replace File Explorer. It blew my mind to find out you could replace File Explorer, but Files does it and does it well! Beautiful, functional, and with a heft of useful features such as file tagging, a more comprehensive file preview, and themes, it has completely replaced Explorer for me. https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/files-app/9NGHP3DX8HDX?hl=da-dk&gl=dk&rtc=1
After ~a week on #Windows11, it's quite nice (With #Start11, obv) except for the widgets panel.
I want to like it, and for the widgets that *I* added (weather, my phone, spotify, etc) it's nice. But I wish I could just fully disable all the ... other junk
