Eating gloopy Somerset Brie and watching Star Trek (2009) on the last night of my weekend away π§
#Cheese #StarTrek #StarTrek2009 #Cheesetodon #Scran #Scranodon
I just watched #StarTrek2009 for the first time in a while
I liked the way the actors portrayed the original characters
The Red Blob MacGuffin is a little silly
I missed the lens flares!
It was a little hard to swallow the Kelvin timeline at first, but then I remember that it is all made up anyway
last night I watched #StarTrek2009. I'm now settling in to #StarTrekIntoDarkness
I'm watching these movies mostly for completionism, but I finished the first one with the feeling that I was not the target audience
like, I'm neither brand new to the concept of Star Trek nor a longtime fan with decades of nostalgia, which are the two groups that I assume they were making these for
ah well
Happy #TrekTuesday!
Spock: "Then why did you send Kirk aboard when you alone could have explained the truth?"
Spock Prime: "Because you needed each other. I could not deprive you of the revelation of all that you could accomplish together, of a friendship what will define you both in ways you cannot yet realize"
Pike: "Your father was Captain of a Starship for 12 minutes. He saved 800 lives, including your mother's and yours. I dare you to do better"
George: "What is it?"
Winona: "It's a boy"
George: "A boy? Tell me about him"
Winona: "He's beautiful. George, you should be here"
George: "What are we gonna call him?"
Winona: "We can name him after your father"
George: "Tiberius? You kidding me?. No, that's the worst. Let's name him after your dad. Let's call him Jim"
