In anticipation of the new #Stargate series being produced I decided to re-watch it all. First SG1, then the interleaved seasons with Atlantis, followed by Universe.
I knew I would (re-)love SG1 and Atlantis (although the first low budget episodes of SG1 haven't aged well) but what surprised me was Universe.
That incel gamer nerd arc with the repeated "chads get the girls" storylines feels REALLY off now, to the point where that is what brings my opinion of the whole series down. If it weren't for that I think it's actually better than what the general consensus seems to be, and I would've liked to see it being picked up again.

I can't help but think that a lot of the issues on Destiny could have been solved by someone tossing a charged ZPM through the gate to Rush.
I finished Stargate Universe.
It is now one of my favorite spinoffs of Stargate SG-1.
I liked the more serious tone.
Stylistically it looked, felt, like the rebooted Battlestar Galactica.
