We finally managed to solve the #morse code part by downloading the video stream using #youtube-dl and then decoding it with a tool found at https://github.com/matja/video-morse-decode:

@kippur There's this really cute joke that the Chinese tell one another, a kind of metaphor for how much of our current result is dependent on the effect we know as #StandingOnTheShouldersOfGiants.

A young man feels hungry, and sees a tray of buns. He eats one, but is still hungry. He takes a second - still hungry. After a third, he still feels not quite satisfied, so he has a fourth. Ah, yes, he thinks, but he sees the empty tray, and says, "I really should have had only that last bun!"
