I like this #stamp from Greenland in 1980. This is engraved, and looks like it was actually printing as an engraving rather than photolitho — I can tell because the red of the shrimp bleeds a bit into the surrounding water. This picture isn't all that clean and I want to redo it.

Postal enviada hoy, 31 de marzo de 2026, dirección Bakersfield, en California (Estados Unidos). Que haya un lugar que esté dedicado, en su apariencia, al sector panadero me encanta y creo que tiene un toque graciosísimo. Poco se valoran estas cosas. Es como si en España tuviéramos Panaderilandia. Gracias por esta variedad.
Aquí tenemos la postal que saqué al descubrir este cuadro gracias a los sellos. Representa la obra de "El Corzo" de Niko Pirosmani y el sello que le dedicaron en la Unión Soviética a la misma en 1981.
Niko Pirosmani se encuadra dentro de la corriente artística llamada primitivista o de arte naif que se basa en una supuesta falta de conocimientos técnicos. A mi personalmente, que no entiendo absolutamente nada de arte, en general, por lo que he visto, me gusta.

This is a cool #stamp I got today. It isn't especially valuable, but it is the first multi-color engraved stamp France produced. They attempted to do spot-color, where they ink the plate with different colors in different spots and print it that way. The red and the yellow are pretty messy in this one. Stamps from 15 years later are extremely clean, it took them a few years to figure out a clean process.

Sello emitido en España un 11 de octubre de 1993. Representa al gran e impresionante Quebrantahuesos (Gypaetus barbatus). Es un ave en peligro de extinción, existiendo programas para su recuperación como el de la sierra de Castril. Hace casi dos años se conocía la estupenda noticia de que había nacido "Castrileña", el primer quebrantahuesos nacido en libertad desde que comenzó el proyecto.
Es el ave necrófoga más grande de Europa y se le conoce, como su propio nombre indica, por recoger los cuerpos de los animales que encuentra y lanzarlos desde una gran altura para, seguidamente, poder comer sus huesos.

Anyone have any information about Barbados in the late 1910s?

What does victory 1919 mean?

Love how it went through two processes to get a really nice contrast of yellow and black.

I thought it was an independence thing but Barbados gained independence way later than you would think.... Looked up a timeline of historical events and got nothing.
