Saraphir CamilleI was going through my poems the other day and I found my take on the superpower thing that I wrote 3 1/2 years ago. I stammered since I was a child and the last 34 years or so I have been on a journey of finding the nuggets of gold that are hidden inside what can be a very difficult condition to live with. If you love it it becomes a source of strength, and both it and you transform.

It hardly ever happens and yet, when it does, it's been the cause of much embarrassment. To see the look of horror on the face of the person you're trying to talk to is just horrible, which then compounds the situation. I've never told anyone this before. So well done to the likes of Kitty and Jesse making a difference.

My #Stammer is my most common one but I have a tendency to #Spoonerisms too.
This is less a speech problem and more an indicator of my confused mixed up brain. 9/10 it's funny but it can be annoying. ( I STILL say ParCark instead of CarPark. EVERY SINGLE F***ING TIME!)
anyway yesterday I couldn't get a phrase out leaving me and my wife in tears of laughter.
I heard a "Thumble of Runder but did't see any Fighting lashes"

went to a party of this weekend. met new folks - my stutter wasn't an issue in meeting them - a good sign and eventually it went away - well mmmmmostly. shout out humming into a word one of my fave #stammer tricks
Miss FidgetSome folks stutter which can include st-st-stammering as well as pauses and other tricks like humming or making an mmm sound to bounce onto a word.
The movie The King's Speech, about a stammering world leader, is a decent source of info and ideally empathy for stutterers.
