But this Stalin didn't do and instead the Jews were slaughtered and gassed and worked to death.

And the Hungarian Jews asked the USSR if resources could be put into saving them from the gas chambers.
And Stalin's USSR replied that resources would be shared equally, that no one would be given special treatment, and the Jews were soon put on trains and sent to their deaths in concentration camps and gas chambers.
