A lovely piece of Victorian ironwork seen through a rather grubby train window. I can't recall just now which Scottish train station this is. Perth, perhaps?
This is the staircase in the Carnegie Library building in Wick, in the north of Scotland. A gem of a building.
Glasgow City Chambers is to my mind the most ludicrously lavishly decorated building around. While people were living in hovels in the city, they built this papal palace of marble and gold. There's just something very insulting about it.
