"Ring My Bell" is a 1979 disco song written by #FrederickKnight. The song was originally written for eleven-year-old #StacyLattisaw as a teenybopper song about children talking on the telephone. When Lattisaw signed with a different label, American singer and musician #AnitaWard was asked to sing it instead, and it became her #onlyMajorHit. "Ring My Bell" went to number one on the #Billboard Hot 100 chart, the #DiscoTop80 chart and the Soul Singles chart.

40 years ago this week, "Perfect Combination" by #StacyLattisaw & #JohnnyGill entered the #Top100 at 95. It peaked at 75 on 21 Apr 1984. I was surprised to see that this is her fifth trip up the charts, but this is the first I've posted. Some of the earlier trips even broke into the top 40.
