Beautiful plane, and an iconic LAX view. Note the Hollywood sign just barely visible given the pollution and smoke from nearby wildfires. There were points this past weekend that we couldn't see the sign at all. It's really bad there this year 😠

One of my fondest memories of #SpotLAX2024 occurred on the very first evening, when I joined @traineyjr, @LandingLights, and @User47 on a trek out to the north side of the airport for some twilight spotting. Here's one of my better shots. It pains me to realize I have 2000+ more photos from the weekend to sift through, organize, edit, and mostly delete. Some day I'll get around to it. Here's an Air China Boeing 777-300ER from Beijing (B-7952).

Attending events like #Dorkfest and #SpotLAX2024 let me feed off of the passion of others. In doing so, I rekindle my #AvGeek. It’s the annual passion recharge I need.

Next month I’m doing a naturalist conference and will get to recharge that battery as well.

So many folks showed up at the third major social event and raffle of the weekend.
