Haven’t seen a proper replay of Mbeumo’s handball but from the stills floating about Instagram et al, I think I’d be ok with it being called handball and having the goal chalked off for the foul.
On the other hand, VAR have screwed us out of many points this season and whilst this hasn’t balanced that out, I’m not going to lose sleep over the decision going our way for once.
Chelsea aren’t going to get a penalty today no matter what happens - they’ll probably get an apology or two from PGMOL later though because Darren England is basically wearing light blue today and is wildly biased.

Well, going off the officiating in the first 5 minutes, this is going to be an easy win for City because Chelsea aren’t going to be allowed anywhere near City’s box without them blowing up for some imagined offence.
If West Ham’s equaliser gets knocked off by VAR, we know for sure there’s an agenda because Arsenal have scored countless goals this season by fouling the keeper much more than Pablo just did on Raya. Hell, many teams have conceded similar goals this season without intervention.
Oh, and there we go, PGMOL corruption lands in Arsenal’s favour yet again. Blatant and obvious thumbing the scales.
Sunderland player elbows Fernandes in the face and … nothing. Clear violent conduct but no red card and no VAR intervention. Attwell remains undefeated in his absolute slop bag of officiating incompetence.
These officials and PGMOL could not be more blatantly biased against United if they were wearing City or Liverpool shirts on the field. Absolute corruption.
It will surprise no-one to learn that Stuart Attwell is continuing to be an absolute melted fish of a referee when involved in a United match. The day he retires or is forced out for his continued incompetence cannot come soon enough.
