My Gemsona! Been wanting to make one for a while, but couldn’t find the right gem. I mean, my birthstone is a garnet, but at the time I thought that you shouldn’t make a gemsona based on a in-canon fusion, so I was stumped on the gem.

Then I was going through the RWBY Name Generator for reasons and saw Nell (Carnelian) in one of the generated suggestions. Obviously the name stuck and gears were spinning until I finally decided on Carnelian for Gemsona and her appearance. It looka sort of like me, but redder and way longer hair. And taller. And bigger.

I know the Famethysts Carnelian was fully red, but I didn’t want to make the same gem, but with a different body. And I saw that carnelians have different colors/shades, so I rolled with that.
Story wise…she was a rebel in Rose’s army, but was caught in the Diamonds Attack and now either roams Earth as a monster or is bubbled. I haven’t decided on that one, but she’s basically Not Around.

Mew Ginger - real name Ginger Princeton - she is bonded with the DNA of a Roatan coral snake. I had wanted to make a snake Mew, don't ask me why, I don't remember exactly why - maybe as way to see what can be done without adding a tail?
