Got root?

I figured this spider plant would be a bit rootbound after 3 years in the same container, but I wasn't expecting _this_! Poor thing has been detangled some and potted up. Snipped off 9 babies and stuck them in the greenhouse while I was at it, to give away later in the year, because everyone needs more spider plants.

After inadvertently (or carelessly) killing my last plants, I’ve started again with the spider babies from my friend’s spiderplant. It’s been almost two months and they are flourishing so that’s a good sign. I don’t faff with them, just rinse the leca beads every now and then and make sure the water in the pot is topped up and that’s it. It think that’s the best approach, so fingers crossed that they grow into big plants.

@mlohbihler Spider plants were popular in the 1970's when I was a kid. We nurtured them, and they made more spiders. So we planted them. And planted them. Until they crowded out all our other plants. Did whatever a spiderplant can. #spiderplant
