If historical diet affects your health thats more reason to change to a plant based diet (especially given the ties to humanities highest mortality diseases), when a human gets a little bit sick then apparently we should defer to the human's experience, and damn any other creatures that have to die for the continuation of that diet

Cockroach shouldn't be an insult, cockroaches don't choose to be cockroaches, and they are just trying to live

Unless you are allergic to them or you have residue of faeces or decaying flesh in your house (which can harbor pathogens such as ecoli or salmonella for cockroaches to spread and get blamed for) they pose little harm to you. Cockroaches do not bite or otherwise attack humans. And honestly if you're eating other animals and you get sick from pathogens on their decaying flesh thats kind of a karma moment.

Cockroaches growing in population in your house is not sustainable for you or for the cockroaches, but similar to house flies its a massive overreaction to kill them for making the mistake of wanting somewhere warm and dry to live and eat

Ultimately cockroaches do not need more irrational fear and hatred directed their way by lumping them in with fascists and racists like asmongold

In the #dairy industry male calves are killed as theyre "the wrong breed for meat" and dont produce milk. Cows are forcibly impregnated by fisting their anus; calves separated within cpl days minimizing milk "wasted" on calf. @ abt 4y of 25y lifespan all are killed bc milk production declines, abt 1/2 of all cow flesh in uk comes from dairy.

Yes theres no ethical consumption under capitalism but that doesn't mean a vegan who gets the train to work that might kill insects is the same as someone who pays for multiple animals to be killed explicitly for their own sensory pleasure

We cant address the more embedded human supremacist systems if we're not even allowed to critique carnism without being called a hypocrite

@pluralistic This is reductive and maligns people with disabilities many of whom also can't get jobs. It suggests that not having a "real" job (whatever that is) is the primary motivation towards someone being a fascist. And it moralizes work. In reality in many cases taking a job is less moral than not taking a job like slaughterhouse work.
