@warhammercommunity Maybe I’m old (😉) but the print size of the text from GW should be punishable by law. If you don’t want people with grey hair playing your games just fucking say it. We’ll take our money elsewhere. #Spearhead

@warhammercommunity Fifth: Forget immersion or ropleplaying. This is Musical Chairs with monsters. Go to the round things on the table, stay there, score points, move to another, repeat.

Sixth: Shooting is king. Skavens have a fuckton of shots. Can shoot to combat. They can’t hit their own models. (I had zero shooting units)

#Spearhead

@warhammercommunity Third: Think about blobs, not models. And I mean it. Your units block movement adding 3” to their perimeter. Spread everything, this is not Warcry.

Fourth: There are tons of rules so like the other you’ll mess almost every turn (I had to learn 27 different rules for only 15 models, not cool). Morbheg Knights don’t retreat as the Varghulf, the Varghulf doesn’t heal like your general, etc.

#Spearhead

@warhammercommunity The plot twists are a lot worse than Warcry’s (and that’s a lot because there’s only one in Warcry, #spearhead has one every round). Maybe it was out game, because half of them weren't aplicable, but It's not great when so many cards you get can't be used.

I don't think “fast paced” is the most common way people feel about the game.

@warhammercommunity Second: If you don’t like Underworlds and 40k mechanics like scoring points using (random) cards at the end of your turn if you meet certain requirements, or MTG-like interrupt cards, this is not for you.

There’s these situations when you are trying to move or shoot in our turn and your opponent uses their cards, interrupting you, taking more actions than you in your own turn (boooring); add this to a double turn and you’ll get 5-10 minutes of throwing saves.

OK, let's talk about #Spearhead a little bit. Comments from the @warhammercommunity crowd are welcomed.

First things first: I can't like a game with a mandatory cardboard play area and L shaped scenery without any meaning in terms of play (besides cutting line of sight and stopping you to just run forward). It's my fault because I didn't read the <complete> set of rules so it took me by surprise when I was looking for my neoprene mat and matching scenery.
