This morning--Valentine's--I woke up to the press conference about the mass shooting at Michigan State.

The entire community of the region responded in solidarity, and the shooter was rapidly found and then committed suicide.

The grief and sadness that I am feeling--and it is great and weighty--does not diminish my pride in belonging to the MSU Spartan Nation.
