Yesterday I got a little distracted from the Howling Griffons and decided to base a couple of Wolf Guard Headtakers, using a version of this recipe found on Reddit a while back: https://www.reddit.com/r/SpaceWolves/comments/1q1xrtx/hows_this_base_looking/
The ice has worked out pretty well I think. Still working on the snow. Doing this more solid snow layer before embellishing with actual snow texture seems quite promising too.
A little progress on Bob (Primaris Sky Claw) led to a good chunk of quick progress on five more of the Strike Force Justian models as Howling Griffons.
The pink trick for yellows works so well for these.
Bob will live again!
One of my oldest miniatures: given the heroic name ‘Bob the Berserker’ in a large-scale game in the Metrocentre Games Workshop one day in the 90s after single-handedly destroying a whole enemy unit.
I recently decided to try recreating him with the new Blood Claws and a jump pack I got from Etsy. Just put it together this evening and I’m pretty happy with the evolution.
Now to paint it… 😬

And that’s a wrap on the Primaris Grey Hunters squad as they join The Blackmanes great company. I pushed myself a little more on my plasma effects and face for the Pack Leader, practiced a little more on some Viking style war paint on the other model with no helmet, and of course did a little more practice on my free hand with pack symbols. What do you all think?
