My sister sent me this glorious sight
 a #SouthernRightWhale frolicking offshore (300 metres / 1000 foot), at #Portland in the State’s south-west region.

She told me this whale was active, just like this, for around 20 minutes, prior to sunset yesterday evening.

Southern right whales inhabit oceans south of the Equator and in 2009 the global population was estimated to be in the region of only 14,000. Source: wiki.
