Just occurred to me that I could exhibit my #SotN versions at #SouthernFriedGamingExpo, which cohosts with #VCFsoutheast 🤔 🤔 🤔

The first computer I ever used, which was coincidentally the first one I ever owned: the unadorned Apple II (with no plus or C or E or anything after its name). That cassette player is pretty close to the model we used as a tape drive, but we used an old black-and-white TV set for a monitor.
In the foreground, two of the first Macintoshes I ever worked with; and in the background, stacked atop each other, two from the same generation as the first Mac I ever owned (a Mac IIsi. The guy said he had one, but it blew up shortly before the expo, so he didn’t bring it).
Various Commodore computers, as owned by pretty much everyone I knew in junior high and high school. I only knew one other Apple guy back then.
Pretty sure each of these occupied my desk at different times at work. I miss them not at all.
Besides displays of ancient technology, there actually was some gaming happening at the gaming expo. A exhibit hall full of vintage arcade games and new pinball machines, perfect for your nostalgia-themed tavern.
You’re gonna need a bigger flipper…
I don’t know what Mr. Fisk was playing, but I hope his opponents were able to leave the table under their own power.
To cap things off, this vendor was selling the cutest dumpster fire I’ve ever seen. The coming season promises to be not so very cute at all.
