Il Tempo: “Emarginato”, Messner accusa la famiglia. Esplode il dramma sull'eredità
Botta e risposta tra l'alpinista altoatesino Reinhold Messner, il primo uomo ad aver raggiunto la vetta delle 14 montagne sopra gli 8 mila metri della terra, e i figli. Da un paio d'anni il 'Re degli Ottomila' è rattristato perché, come lui sostiene, dopo aver deciso di donare gran parte del suo patrimonio in vita ai figli, quest'ultimi lo avrebbero "emarginato". Un botta e risposta che si è tenuto sui media germanofoni ai quali spesso Messner si rivolge per ampliare l'eco mediatica.
I figli, però, negano. L'alpinista altoatesino, 81 anni, sposato con Diane Schumacher parlando alla trasmissione 'Fruehstueck' ('colazione') alla radio austriaca Oe3, ha usato parole molto forti nei confronti dei propri figli con tanto di accusa di averlo emarginato dopo aver ricevuto l'eredità. I figli di Messner sono Layla (45 anni), Magdalena (38), Simon (35) e Anna (25) e nel 2019 aveva distribuito il patrimonio di famiglia. "Sono stato così ingenuo da pensare di donarlo a cuore aperto, non appena hanno avuto tutto, hanno immediatamente cercato di emarginare me e Diane: sono stato messo da parte", ha accusato Messner riaprendo una ferita che mai si è rimarginata.
Due anni fa, l'alpinista aveva rivelato, "il mio notaio mi ha sempre detto, 'non tutto, non dare via tutto, stai attento, non si fa', e io ho risposto, ho fiducia nella mia famiglia e nei miei figli, voglio donare tutto, per me era ovvio che la famiglia rimanesse unita". Ascoltate le parole del padre, il figlio Simon, alpinista di fama internazionale ritiratosi nel dicembre scorso, si è rivolto al quotidiano tedesco Bild dicendo: "Fa un male infinito perché semplicemente non è vero, non è vero che l'abbiamo messo da parte, è lui che si è allontanato da noi, mio padre mi manca ogni giorno".

For the past couple of years, the “King of the Eight Thousands” has been disheartened because, as he claims, after deciding to donate a large part of his wealth in life to his children, they have “marginalized” him. This exchange has taken place in German-speaking media, to which Messner often turns to amplify media coverage.
The children, however, deny it. The 81-year-old South Tyrolean mountaineer, married to Diane Schumacher, speaking on the broadcast ‘Fruehstueck’ (‘breakfast’) on Austrian radio Oe3, used very strong words towards his children, accusing them of marginalizing him after receiving the inheritance. Messner’s children are Layla (45), Magdalena (38), Simon (35) and Anna (25), and in 2019 he distributed the family’s wealth. “I was so naive to think of giving it freely, as soon as they had everything, they immediately tried to marginalize me and Diane: I was put aside,” Messner accused, reopening a wound that never healed.
Two years ago, the mountaineer revealed, “my notary always told me, ‘not everything, don’t give everything away, be careful, it’s not done,’ and I responded, I trust my family and my children, I want to give everything away. It was obvious to me that the family would remain united.” Hearing his father’s words, son Simon, an internationally renowned mountaineer who retired last December, spoke to the German newspaper Bild saying: “It causes an infinite pain because it simply isn’t true, it’s not true that we put him aside, it’s he who has distanced himself from us, I miss my father every day.”
