Digital reforms and new air corridors are positioning Jamaica, Barbados, and Nigeria as the vanguard of a South-South tourism revolution.

As Barbados opens offices in Kenya and Jamaica streamlines digital entry, the $40 trillion Africa-Caribbean corridor is becoming a reality. The focus is shifting from the North Atlantic to a high-growth South-South axis. Huge potential for aviation, tech, and hospitality.

Africa’s rapid technological expansion presents a massive opportunity for Caribbean nations to leapfrog development through strategic cross-regional partnerships in digital infrastructure, energy, and fintech. 🌍✨

With $180B+ flowing into African tech, the potential for knowledge transfer between Malawi’s data strategies or Rwanda’s drone logistics and the Caribbean market is immense.

Beautiful #infographic of aerial traffic out of #Beirut and #Damascus, from the 1968 master plan of Damascus, by Michel Écochard.

There are many beautiful things to note, One of my favourite is that the map spreads eastwards as well as westwards. Riyadh and Jaddah are there, but there are fewer flights than to Delhi, Karachi, and Bombay.

I wonder what a similar infographic would look like today.

Given that OERu is a positive example of #TNE, and #NorthSouth, #SouthSouth, and even #NorthNorth cooperation, I thought it might be found interesting.
