On windy days I swear waves of trash blow onto my street from Camden, NJ.

Well hot damn, they were sure right about it being a sudden blizzard despite the balmy temps. We got at LEAST a foot of very heavy wet snow that drifts and sticks to tree and wires. Haven’t gone out yet - still snowing n blowing at 9am
Philly especially South Philly just lost an icon, mosaic mural artist Isiah Zagar. It is hard to overestimate how his often copied never equaled broken “stuff” wall sized mosaics transformed everything it touched. Condolences to his family, esp. his wife who runs Eyes Gallery on South Street. The two of them make Philly weird in the best ways. https://www.msn.com/en-us/entertainment/general/isaiah-zagar-legendary-south-philly-mosaicist-has-died-at-86/ar-AA1WGyoF

Front windle update
The felt Eagles championship pennant has done it’s work for the year and is coming down. It will be replaced with a red paper harbinger of Vala-mentines day.
Seasonal front windle decor is an important part of South Philly culture that I am glad to uphold.
How’s your snowventure? Indoor outdoor thermometer finally reads 32 in the snow packed yard. I feel lighter already and also await the ice that will form when it melts then hits a cold surface.
This thing has been hanging on this barricade for like a year. Last week I noticed it fell off, and figured it was done for. It would definitely get thrown out on trash day. But nope, someone hung it back up. Stay weird, Philly.
Heavy sleet in South Philly is coating surfaces and making a creepy wet dry slithery noise as it bounces around in the dark. Perfect nice to snuggle up with leftovers from the feast. Be well.
