Diversi impianti della Zona speciale per l’energia di South Pars, nel sud dell’Iran, sono stati colpiti dai raid condotti nelle scorse ore dall’Aeronautica militare israeliana. Il giacimento di South Pars è collegato al North Dome qatariota ed è uno dei più grandi al mondo per la produzione di gas. Nell’attacco è stato colpito l’impianto della città portuale di Asaluyeh. Sui social sono stati pubblicati diversi video che mostrano le colonne di fumo visibili a chilometri di distanza. Sul posto sono in corso le operazioni per spegnere gli incendi. È la prima volta che Israele prende di mira infrastrutture legate al gas in Iran.

Several facilities in the South Pars Special Energy Zone, in southern Iran, have been hit by raids conducted in the past hours by the Israeli Air Force. The South Pars reservoir is connected to the North Dome Qatar and is one of the largest in the world for gas production. The attack targeted the facility in the port city of Asaluyeh. Several videos have been posted on social media showing smoke columns visible for miles. Firefighting operations are underway at the site. It is the first time Israel has targeted gas-related infrastructure in Iran.
