Do we do #followFriday still? I wanted to shout out @We_Own_It who are a tiny organisation making big changes in UK fighting for #publicOwnership of #publicServices and against #privatisation of #nhs #healthCare #water (inc. campaigns #pollution profiteers #thamesWater and #southEastWater) and calls to #nationalise our #railway

They produce really great resources and stats and ways to take action - with both online petitions and on the ground local #activist groups.

They're new here and could do with some welcome boosts; so many people here would want to support them, I believe.

Take South East Water into public ownership NOW

South East Water has failed households in Kent and Sussex. It is time to bring it into public ownership.

Email from #SouthEastWater to say that they're ramping up prices by an average of 20%.
"We've calculated that your monthly usage will be £X"
"We're therefore changing you monthly DD payment to £X plus 25%"
Wankers.
I've reset the monthly payment to the minimum they allow, which is still £X plus 12.5%
Never accept the increase to your monthly payment these bastards (and that includes the energy companies too) propose.
When I changed the figure I got a warning that it would "take 12 months to 'chip away' at your balance". So what? My balance is currently well in credit. I'd like the money to be in my account not your overpaid directors'.
