US originally restricted #citizenship to "white" people. Past case law said being Caucasian was the standard, so #BhagatSinghThind sued, noting that #SouthAsians were "Aryan". So, on #ThisDayInHistory in 1923, the #SCOTUS ruled unanimously that the #Founders meant Europeans only.
