#maroon5 became my first major band obsession, #SongsAboutJane, the soundtrack to my life. When i discovered the nugget of #KarasFlowers, I searched high and low for a copy of their one album. Listening to it, you can hear the seeds of Maroon 5, the experimentation with lyrics and sound. Leading them to what I still deem is the perfect album, Jane. Reading #HarderToBreathe by #RyanDusick not only gave me a glimpse into how it all came to be, but also how precarious fame and fortune is, and how no matter how successful you become, you can still be at the mercy of mental struggles and addiction. As someone who struggles with anxiety, depression, ptsd and trauma, I applaud all who speak about their own struggles and how they managed to not be cured necessarily, but how they learned to handle it and continue on with life. Thank you, Ryan, for sharing your personal story while also giving me that perfect glimpse of how my favorite band came to be
