Never thought I'd be drawing Sonic and Zelda's wedding, but I saw a silly Sonelise wedding picture on my RSS feed and could not rest until I had replicated it for my other Sonic ship. My sister's already making a Shadamy version. Let the trend spread!

I found out that SSBU has a native camera mode! I had seen some pics of Sonic and Zelda interacting in-game at different angles as I scraped the barrel for art of this ship on Deviantart, but I thought it was from using a mod of some kind!
Took a ton of pictures that I may post later, but here are some aesthetically-similar highlights!
And for those unfamiliar with the game, Smash doesn't allow you to pose characters — these were all happy accidents!

Color thumbnail to make sure all my colors are harmonious before coloring the end result. I enjoyed referencing the OG linework without caring about details or clean line work to create a template to test the colors on. It ended up looking like an artwork in its own right, albeit a bit rustic!

I bought this Zelda figure and she was just the perfect size for Sonic! (I held her up against a Sonic figure in the store to check and lo and behold there was a perfect height difference!
