I don't think I've posted about Emily Tesh's "Some Desperate Glory" yet. It won the 2024 Hugo for best novel, so don't just take my word for it, but: I think it's fantastic. It pulls off an extremely ambitious narrative (which I'll avoid giving details about in this unspoilered post), and the writing works. Of the 2024 Hugo nominees I read, this was my favorite, and I'm glad it won.
